A few hours later he heard her screaming. At first he didn’t know why he was hearing it. Until he realized that Jennifer was there with him. He got up and went into her room. He saw her curled up in a ball crying. He didn’t know what had happened. He didn’t hear anyone come in, he didn’t see anything happen.

“Jennifer what’s wrong?”

“Oh Daniel, I’m sorry I didn’t mean to wake you I had a bad dream. Nothing I can’t handle. I just thought they would stop after I moved.”

“It’s no problem, want to talk about them?”

“It will just bore you. It is stuff that has happened to me in the past. I have never told anyone. That could be why I’m still having nightmares.”

“Please just tell me.”

She did just that. She told him that when she turned 18, she was dating this guy who raped her. He told her that if she told anyone that he would come and kill her. She ended up throwing him in jail. About a month before she started working for the SGC she got a call from the police that he was out. He was out for good behavior. That is when the Nightmares started.

He tracked her down one night. He beat the shit out of her. Luckily the cops had a tail on her. They followed him to see if he went to bug her. His ass got thrown in jail again. He was still in there but the night mares wouldn’t stop. He listened to what she had told him. It took a while to register. He couldn’t understand how someone could do that to a female.

“I’m sorry that had to happen to you. As long as I’m here nothing will happen to you, I promise you.” Daniel wiped a tear away as he said that.

Jennifer turned toward him and hugged him. She looked up into his deep blue eyes. Something came over her. She had to kiss him, and she did. There was a feeling of electricity that shot through them both. She had never felt this way before. Not even when she was married. She was falling hard and fast. That made her scared shitless.

Daniel was a little shocked as well. Although he didn’t mind. He had fallen in love with her, in the short time he had gotten to know her. They just laid with each other the rest of the night. He held her and she held him while they slept.

She got up before the alarm went off. She took a shower and made breakfast. Daniel doesn’t know what woke him first the smell of breakfast or the alarm clock. He grumbled and got up. He smiled when he saw her in one of his t-shirts and her underwear. That made him instantly hard. He grumbled something and walked into her. He kissed her on the cheek and looked at breakfast.

“Damn woman you are going to make me fat.” he chuckled

She just smiled and sat down to eat. She just had to throw some clothes on then she would be ready for the day ahead. Daniel quickly ate, and got ready. She was also ready by the time he got back into the living room, and they headed out.

They got back to the base and she walked into the women’s locker room. While she was in there she met Sam Carter also from SG1. Sam handed her some BDUs. Told her to put them on, they gave her all the attire that she would need for the mission. Along with a few other things and they were ready to head out.

Daniel grabbed his camera, his journal, and some other things and met them all in the gate room. When Jennifer walked in Daniel’s breath caught in his throat. Her BDUs were skin tight, and she had her hair in braided pig tails. She looked like a little school girl. While she was in the gate room she met Teal’c also. She noted that he wasn’t from this planet. She knew better than to piss him off.

The gate opened with a WHOOSH. Jennifer just stared at it. It was so beautiful. Daniel looked at her, she stood there in awe. He had been that way once.

“It’s a piece of cake, If you want I can hold your hand when we go through.” Daniel said.

She smiled and grabbed his hand. She was scared to go through this thing although they had been doing it quite sometime. They walked through the other side. She felt a sudden rush when she emerged.

“That was fun, I want to do that again.” Jennifer said.

Daniel laughed and Jack grumped.

“Alright Campers, lets head out.” Jack said so seriously.

They grabbed their gear and headed out. The ruins should be pretty close since the MALP didn’t travel very far. They didn’t travel very far when the found the ruins along with a cave that needed to be explored. Jack and Sam explored the cave. Teal’c stayed with Daniel and Jennifer.

Jennifer was in heaven. She loved this work. She saw the light in Daniels eyes, she knew he was enjoying this also. They had been working for a while, they didn’t realize how late it was. They were lost in what they were doing. It wasn’t until Jack told them to pack it up that they came back to camp. It seems that Jack and Sam found some more things to translate in the cave. There was nothing of danger.

Jack said that the two girls should tent together and the guys should tent together. But Jennifer said that she would feel safer sleeping in a tent with Daniel. Jack wondered why this was, and had some objections.

“I don’t really like that idea Jennifer. Why can’t you stay with Carter?” Jack was annoyed.

“Jack, I have really bad nightmares, I don’t have them when I’m around Daniel. He’s like my security blanket, and I have fallen in love with him.” She slightly blushed.

She hoped Daniel didn’t hear, but he did. He was so happy that she loved him because he loved her also.

“Jennifer, I love you too. Jack, She’s staying with me. Unless you want to hear me scream and you run into the tent with guns shooting.” Daniel laughed.

“Alright you stay with Daniel. I don’t want to hear a word from you though, Got it?”

They all rolled their eyes and grumbled. They went to get ready to go to bed, They were so thankful that they were finally with each other. Jack took first watch, and the rest of them fell asleep.
