The next day they got up and got ready for the day ahead. Although Jack was going to be bored the next day. They found some interesting artifacts. They found a Gou’ld hand device, and a healing device. As normal Jennifer was curious about them. She wanted to know how they worked. Daniel was thrilled and told her as much detail about them as he knew. Jennifer was amazed.

They only had one more day to translate the ruins. There was so much there it would take them at least 2 weeks to translate everything. So as normal Daniel took his camera out and started recording the ruins. Jennifer took hers out as well.

“I’m going to get the things farther in the cave, if you need anything.” Jennifer stated.

“Alright be careful. And I love you.”

“Love you too.”

Jennifer went further into the cave. She found a lot of artifacts. She also was video taping the ruins in the cave. She was enjoying everything that she was seeing. She didn’t hear Daniel calling her name and telling her to pack it in. She wasn’t watching where she was going. She tripped and hurt her leg. She knew it was broken. She screamed because it hurt really bad.

Daniel came running in, he saw how her leg was. He knew it was broken. He grabbed all the gear and put it in the pack. Then he picked her up and carried her. Jack saw Daniel carrying her back to camp, and noted her leg. They knew now that they had to pack up and go home a day early.

“Sorry to spoil all the fun.” she sounded upset when she told them that.

“It’s not your fault, it happens.” Daniel reassured her.

Daniel, Jack, Sam and Teal’c gathered stuff up. They debated on who would carry her. Teal’c said he would because he was the strongest of the group. They got back to the gate and Daniel dialed home. When they got back to the base they called for a med team.

When she was in the infirmary, Janet looked at her ex rays, although she didn’t need to, to know that it was broken. She saw that it was broken in 2 places. Janet put a cast on it and told her to take it easy. She did say that it was ok to still work in the office with Daniel. Janet gave her a set of crutches and told her she could leave.

She found Daniel in his office. He was so consumed in his work, he didn’t notice that she came in. She put her hands around his neck and kissed him. When she did that she felt the electricity that shot threw them. Daniel looked up and smiled at her. He handed her some translations and they got to work. Jennifer started getting sore, her leg started aching, so she had to get up and move a little. She let Daniel know where she was going although she knew that he didn’t hear her. He was so consumed in his work. She left a note, telling him that she was stretching her legs, and will be back soon.

Jennifer was walking down the hall when she came upon Jack. He stopped her for a minute and asked her how the translations were going. They were getting a major break through. He let her go on her way. She walked to the commissary, she was starving, she didn’t remember the last time she ate.

While in there she heard one of the SFS talking. She was saying that she wanted to get together with Doctor Jackson. She stated that she would do anything in her power to get to him. Jennifer just shrugged it off. She figured that they were just talking about him. She got some red Jell-O, and sat down. After she ate her Jell-O she got up and put her tray up. Walked back to her office, she shared with Daniel.

Before she walked in she heard Daniel and the same SF talking. She was telling him how cute he was and wanted to date him. When he told her that he wasn’t interested, she got mad. She stormed out of the room mumbling something under her breath. When Jennifer walked into the room she saw Daniels head in his hands, saying some swear words under his breath. She cleared her throat and walked in.

He looked up and saw her. He smiled really big. He was exhausted and was ready to head home. The days before were trying, and he just wanted to be at home, holding Jennifer, tightly. She walks over and stands behind him and massages his shoulders. He moans a small mumble.

“Hey baby, that feels good. Thanks. What do you say we call it a day and head home. All I want to do is go home and hold you.” Daniel smiled wickedly.

“Sounds good, I will be ready in a few minutes. I have to gather some things up here and then I will be ready to go.”

With that she gathers some of her things up. Daniel is now standing behind her massaging her shoulders when that SF walked in. Annie looked at Daniel touching Jennifer. She was enraged. She thought that he wasn’t being serious about not wanting to date her. Annie was coming back to give Daniel another chance.

Only now she found him touching that whore. Daniel looked up and saw Annie standing there.

“What can I do for you Annie?”

“Well you can start by taking your hands off that whore.”

“Nope, I love her I don’t think so!” He said.

Just then she did something that no one ever thought would happen. She pulled out a gun. Jennifer saw this and got up as fast as she could. Annie fired, aimed at Daniel, although it hit Jennifer. Jack, Sam, and Teal’c came running. They put her in hand cuffs.

“I need a med team in here STAT.”

Jack, Sam, and Teal’c all asked Daniel what happened. When he explained that she took a bullet to save his life, they looked up to her. They now thought of her as family. When they looked down at her they saw blood all around. They don’t know how anyone could survive that type of shot. It was straight to the heart.

Jennifer wasn’t breathing. Janet rushed her to the infirmary. She opened her up and found that the bullet had pierced her heart. She told them that the outlook did not look good. She was able to get Jennifer to breath on her own. Which was a good sign. They removed as much of the bullet as they could. Only time would tell if it was enough or not.
